5. Accessing a Layer's Legend

Features in a layer are often symbolized on the map according to a unique attribute or data classification scheme. Legends provide a key to distinguishing the symbols and are accessed by clicking on the collapse legend button (Image of plus button) associated with a Layer. In the example below, the legend has been turned on for "Upstream Nitrogen Sources" and "Nitrogen Sources From Each Catchment".

Hint: You can improve the performance of the viewer by turning off (collapsing) unneeded legends in the Table of Contents.
