Site Type: Intensive integrator; highly urbanized; NAWQA Program Trends Site

Site Location: Latitude 42° 21' 54" N, longitude 71° 11' 26" W, Middlesex County, Hydrologic Unit 01090001, at footbridge, 1,500 feet NW of intersection at Watertown Street and California Street.

Monitoring Period of the data: October 1998 – September 2001

Real-time and Historical Streamflow Data:
This sampling site has streamflow data for the period Oct. 1999 – Oct. 2000: USGS NWIS database: Charles

In October 2000, the Watertown, Mass. streamflow gage was discontinued. Starting October 1, 2000, the source of streamflow data is USGS streamgaging station 01104500 (Charles River at Waltham, Mass.) located about 7 miles upstream. A correction factor is applied to the streamflow values to estimate streamflow at the sampling site.
